Born in Rome in 1978, designer STELLA BONDI from a young age soaks up the atmosphere of an imperial city, full of history, art and culture, which contributes to stimulating her innate desire to broaden her human and professional horizons. She graduates in foreign languages, which she will use profusely in her travels for study purposes in England, Spain, Belgium, and even India. She obtains a “Diamond Grader” diploma from the HRD Institute of Antwerp in 2002, and another in “Basic Gemmology” in 2006, participating in both Trade fairs and gem workshops. The relationships forged and meetings attended result in direct contact with national and international wholesalers working in Valenza, Milan and Rome. She goes on to attend the Jewellery Design Course at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana (SOA), acquiring knowledge which allows her to have a better understanding of the needs of both jewellery producers and clients who are lovers of “tailor-made” jewels. The artist ventures as far as Mumbai where she works at a well-known sightholder of the DTC (Diamond Trading Company) alongside professionals and gemmologists, gaining unforgettable professional and qualitative experience. Today, after accumulating more than two decades of deep and diversified experiences, she works as “Jewel Consultant” with various professionals of the sector. She makes her great technical and artistic knowledge available to the public at large to suggest, advise, steer, study and develop the optimal project customised for each client who wants to make their “dream/desire” come true. All this is made possible by the joint effort of different factors: the sure origin of the metals and precious gems used and the great artisan skill of the craftsmen and professionals which the artist has availed of for decades. The next goal for Stella Bondi is to create her own jewellery brand with a few lines of “prêt à porter” jewels, for the international market.
