SVEVA MISEROTTI’s education has always been connected to the art world, particularly to design, since the upper secondary school; thanks to a scholarship she attended NABA, Nuova Accademia Belle Arti di Milano, having been admitted to the Fashion Design course. Later, thanks to her professional experience as a model, she had the opportunity to assist in the process of creating fashion collections, from the beginnings to the final product, including the accessories that accompany the collections. The artist was soon fascinated by this world, though developing a greater sensitivity to jewellery, quintessential accessories in the fashion world, due to their artistic and personal value and their accentuated symbolism. To merge her educational and working background, Sveva chooses to participate in the Jewellery Design class at the SOA (Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana, in Milan), confirming the approach to the jewellery world as the natural evolution of her studies and artistic interests. An extremely stimulating world opens which allows the designer to play with creativity, almost taking on a personal therapeutic role and extremely open mentality. The intrinsic value of the jewels is further underlined: charms which are worn and carry sentimental memories and values, but also objects identifying cultural references which speak an artistic language. The course was fundamental to give meaning to the various “pieces”, collected until then by the designer, to unify them and play with them in a self-defining manner. The “jewellery designer” has followed and made her dream come true: simply to give life to jewels which are the result of
a personal evolutional process, begun as an extremely stimulating intellectual constructive game, but with a high artistic potential, stylistically refined and precious.
