An exceptional series of eight auctions, two live and six online, were held from 9 to 28 February 2024, by Christie’s New York with the meaningful title of “Collection of Sir Elton John: Goodbye Peachtree Road”. It is a treasure of art, fashion and objects, which populated his home in Atlanta in Peachtree Road, belonging to him from the early 1990s until last year. They reflect the sensitivity of a solo artist, author of daring and touching, extremely personal music, considered the most successful singer songwriter of his generation. Over the years, Elton John has assembled a distinctive collection of artworks, objects and memorabilia, many of which were made specifically for his home in Peachtree Road.
