The extraordinary collection was assembled by Tsar Ferdinand of Bulgaria and by the royal family: the Tsar’s influence was particularly strong in objects such as the exceptional “Fancy Gray-Blue” tie pin in white and coloured diamonds, his “Order of the Golden Fleece” in cat’s eye chrysoberyl and in a vast and varied selection of accessories for gentleman’s clothing set with gems.
