In jewellery, after the floral and plant motifs, come all sorts of insects: butterflies, ladybirds, bees, are the most represented, together with spiders, flies, grasshoppers, scarabs, and many more. Perhaps one of the reasons why insects are so often represented is the possibility for the creators to give space to their imagination, taking advantage of the bright colours, bizarre shapes and variegated surfaces.
