Il primo “Master del Gioiello Contemporaneo” vedrà la luce all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia nel prossimo novembre 2023 e avrà termine a maggio 2024. Si prevedono 1500 ore di lezioni, 795 delle quali in presenza, per l’acquisizione di ampie competenze storico/teoriche sulle manifatture, tecniche, materiali, progettazione, produzione in laboratorio, oltre a strategie di mercato come l’individuazione dei trend e la comunicazione visiva del prodotto finito. La formazione inoltre ha lo scopo di creare specifici percorsi atti ad evidenziare le tipologie, le caratteristiche e gli sbocchi professionali dell’intero settore. Al termine dei corsi inizieranno gli stage di 275 ore in azienda e la preparazione finale della tesi. Il Master verrà attivato con un minimo di 15 partecipanti a un costo singolo di 3500 euro.
The first “Master’s Degree of the Contemporary Jewel” will see the light at the Fine Arts Academy of Venice this coming November and will end in May 2024. It will include 1500 hours of lessons, 795 face-to-face, to acquire the vast historic/theoretical expertise on the manufacture, techniques, materials, design, production in workshop, as well as market strategies such as identification of trends and visual communication of the finished product. The training will also have the purpose of creating specific paths to highlight the types, characteristics, and job opportunities/career prospects of the entire sector. At the end of the courses, 275 hours of apprenticeship in a company and final preparation for the thesis. The Master’s Degree will go ahead with a minimum of 15 participants and will cost 3500 euro per student.
La prossima incoronazione di Re Carlo d’Inghilterra ha evitato una trappola diplomatica grazie alla rinuncia della Regina Consorte Camilla di indossare per l’occasione, il prossimo 6 maggio, il mitico Koh-i-Noor (Montagna di Luce), il diamante da 105 carati, venuto in possesso della regina Vittoria oltre 150 anni fa in epoca coloniale. Sebbene sia solo una delle 2.800 pietre incastonate nella corona realizzata per la Regina Madre, il diamante Koh-i-Noor è stato oggetto di controversie per decenni, in quanto il suo possesso è rivendicato non solo e soprattutto dall’India, ma anche da Pakistan, Iran e Afghanistan. Camilla indosserà invece una versione modificata della corona della regina Maria, realizzata da Garrard per l'incoronazione del 1911 e ripristinata con i diamanti Cullinan III, IV e V.
A diplomatic trap at the upcoming coronation of King Charles of England has been avoided thanks to the decision of Queen Consort Camilla not to wear the mythical Koh-i-Noor (Mountain of Light) for the occasion on 6 May 2023. The 105-carat diamond was given to Queen Victoria more than 150 years ago in colonial times. Though it is only one of the 2,800 stones set in the crown made for the Queen Mother, the Koh-i-Noor diamond has been at the centre of controversies for decades, as its ownership is claimed not only and above all by India, but also by Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan. Camilla will wear a modified version of Queen Mary’s crown, made by Garrard for the 1911 coronation and restored with the Cullinan III, IV and V diamonds.
