APRIL BOCK is a young Italian
designer, residing in Switzerland. She
boasts wide-ranging knowledge
gained thanks to studies, both in Italy
and internationally, in the sector of art
and jewellery, including Studio Fine
Art Practice & Theory at DVSA
Hamilton, Ontario in Canada, Scuola
Rudolf Steiner Origlio in Switzerland,
Home school, photography, illustration,
CSIA - Educational Center for the
Artistic Industries of Lugano,under the
guidance of Prof. Michele Martinoni,
teacher of "Theory of shape” and vice-
president of Fondazione Atelier
Genucchi (CH). In 2022, she attains
the American GED high school
diploma and subsequently, at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana of Milan, she dedicates herself to the following courses: basic Goldsmithing, Modelling in wax, Rhinoceros 3D cad, "Jewellery Design" held by the teacher Sonia Tomè (Creattivi Design Ceramica Lab). She recently attended the course entitled "Gouache of jewel”. Thanks to Prof. Tomè she comes into contact with ADOR and together, April develops, reinterprets and creates a series of projects, drawing inspiration from signature styles of important names, such as “Oak leaf” by Buccellati, the “Perle” line by Valentino or “Quartz” by the CTRLZAK Studio. Passion, knowledge, curiosity, love for jewels and art in all its forms, are the motivations which drive this young designer to imagine and design all that her mind desires, without ever forgetting that: “If you think it, then you see it! And, if you see it, you can do it”.
At the side: semi-rigid necklace with spirals of ribbons in yellow gold plate, shiny and satin-finished, with white gold threads and pearls; long cascading earring and ring set. The project is inspired by the “Valentino” fashion Maison.
Top, left: necklace in yellow gold and rose gold, composed by alternating modules, full in satin-finished plate and empty with shiny rim, ring and earring set. To the right: necklace with leaf-shaped modules, in rose gold, white gold and platinum, worked with satin-finished plate, with inserts of diamonds, earrings in two variations, long and short, “cufflink” rings, one in rose gold and the other in platinum, both with diamonds.
The two projects are inspired by the characteristic oak leaf used by the Jeweller Buccellati in his precious creations.
