LE STANZE DELLE MERAVIGLIE
A Villa Giulia, Verbania, si svolgono nel mese di luglio due serie di mostre di arte contemporanea, in due finestre temporali successive: la prima dal dal 5 al 16, la seconda dal 19 al 30 luglio 2023. Nella sesta edizione de “Le Stanze delle Meraviglie - Wunderkammer”, viene proposta un’ampia offerta artistica che comprende arti figurative, fotografia, installazioni, eventi culturali, workshop, presentazione di libri, conferenze. Gli oltre 60 artisti coinvolti si rivolgono al cosiddetto “sistema dell’arte”, composto non solo da artisti, ma anche da collezionisti, galleristi, semplici curiosi, neofiti e appassionati. Nella suggestiva ambientazione delle “Meraviglie” si colloca un interessante gruppo di orafi, il K.O.K, Kollettivo Orafo Kontemporaneo, formato dagli autori Bruno Villani, Ebi Rahbarian, Enza de Pinto, Maddalena Rocco, Maria Elena Abbate, Raimondo Oliviero, Simona Della Bella e Stefano de Robert. Una precisa mission anima i progetti e le opere del nuovo gruppo:
“Il nostro intento è quello di proporre interpretazioni molto personali e di eccellenza della gioielleria contemporanea, termine a volte troppo usato e non espresso realmente, tutti accomunati dall’antico lavoro delle mani nella creazione del gioiello. Le mani veicolano la mente di chi crea e la materia da plasmare, modellare, fondere, per imprimervi forma ed espressività”.
CABINETS OF CURIOSITIES
In July, Villa Giulia, in Verbania, hosts two contemporary art exhibitions, in two subsequent timeframes: the first from 5 to 16, the second from 19 to 30 July 2023. The sixth edition of “Le Stanze delle Meraviglie - Wunderkammer” (Cabinets of Curiosities), presents a vast artistic offer which includes figurative arts, photography, installations, cultural events, workshops, book presentations, conferences. The over 60 artists involved are focused on the so-called “art system” composed not only of artists, but also of collectors, gallery owners, simply curious people, neophytes and enthusiasts. The evocative setting of the “Meraviglie” is home to an interesting group of goldsmiths, K.O.K, Kollettivo Orafo Kontemporaneo, composed by the authors Bruno Villani, Ebi Rahbarian, Enza de Pinto, Maddalena Rocco, Maria Elena Abbate, Raimondo Oliviero, Simona Della Bella and Stefano de Robert. The projects and the works of the new group are driven by a precise mission: “Our intent is to present highly personal interpretations of excellence of contemporary jewellery, a term at times too often used and not truly expressed, all sharing the ancient work of hands in the creation of the jewel. The hands engage the mind of those who create and the matter to mould, model, blend, to impress shape and expression on it”.
