A celebrazione dei suoi 50 anni di attività artistica la designer di alta gioielleria spagnola Luz Camino presenta nella sede della Hispanic Society Museum & Library le sue creazioni colorate e multiformi, radicate nella cultura e nel patrimonio d’arte spagnolo. I gioielli in mostra sono pezzi unici in edizione limitata, a partire dal primo debutto dell’artista nel 1973, quando si iscrisse alla Trade Union School of Jewelry di Madrid. Nota per l'utilizzo di materiali rari, come resine, titanio, porcellana, cristallo soffiato e pietre insolite come vanadinite, bismuto e altri, la designer pratica anche una gran varietà di tecniche di gioielleria, alcune delle quali sono state recuperate dal passato, come il plique-à-jour di René Lalique, o l'incastonatura di diamanti
all'interno dello smalto.
The Spanish high jewellery designer Luz Camino celebrates 50 years of artistic activity with a presentation of her coloured and multiform creations, rooted in the culture and in the heritage of Spanish art, at the Hispanic Society Museum & Library. The jewels on show are unique limited-edition pieces, starting from her first debut in 1973, when she enrolled in the Trade Union School of Jewelry of Madrid. Known for the use of rare materials, such as resin, titanium, porcelain, blown crystal and unusual stones such as vanadinite, bismuth and others, the designer also uses a large variety of jewellery techniques, some of which have been recovered from the past, including the plique-à-jour by René Lalique, or the setting of diamonds inside enamel.

“Radiance” è la prima mostra speciale della collezione permanente dell'Hong Kong Palace Museum ed è anche la più grande mostra di antichi manufatti in oro a Hong Kong negli ultimi anni. Nella mostra figurano più di 200 set di ori antichi, frutto di una selezione proveniente dalle generose donazioni di Betty Lo e Kenneth Chu all'HKPM, come parte della loro collezione Mengdiexuan di fama mondiale. I preziosi oggetti provengono, a partire dal XVIII secolo a.C., dalla steppa eurasiatica, dalle pianure centrali, dal regno di Tubo e dalla dinastia Tang. La loro evoluzione nel tempo evidenzia l'impatto artistico e tecnico dell'oro nell'antica Cina, esplorandone anche il ruolo sostenuto nelle attività politiche, nella vita, nella cultura e nelle connessioni dinamiche tra i territori, negli ultimi 3000 anni.
“Radiance” is the first special exhibition of the permanent collection of the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the largest exhibition of ancient gold artifacts in Hong Kong in recent years. The exhibition includes more than 200 ancient gold sets, selected from the generous donations of Betty Lo and Kenneth Chu to the HKPM, as part of their world famous Mengdieuxan collection. The precious objects, starting from the 18th century B.C., come from the Eurasian steppe, from the central plains, from the Tubo Kingdom and the Tang dynasty. Their evolution over time highlights the artistic and technical impact of gold in ancient China, exploring its role in the political activities, in the life, culture and dynamic connections between territories, in the last 3000 years.
