Fra Alta Gioielleria, Alta Moda e Alta Sartoria, il tradizionale Grand Tour di Dolce e Gabbana, iniziato a Taormina nel 2012, è approdato ai primi di luglio di quest’estate in Sardegna, al Fort Village di Cagliari, dove, nella magica cornice ancestrale della terra sarda, ha sfilato la nuova collezione di Alta Gioielleria. Affiancati da spighe di grano e dal prezioso pane votivo sardo, i gioielli hanno celebrato la loro bellezza, sottolineata in sottofondo dalle canzoni di Christina Aguilera, celebrity globale vincitrice di sette Grammy Awards. Motivo dominante delle creazioni orafe degli stilisti è stata la filigrana d’oro sarda, che, in un abbraccio prezioso di fili d’oro, ricorda “gli intricati intrecci e la leggerezza del pizzo e del merletto”, e porta con sé il retaggio di influenze arabe e spagnole.
Between High Jewellery, High Fashion and Haute Couture, the traditional Grand Tour of Dolce and Gabbana, begun in Taormina in 2012, arrived in Sardinia, at the Fort Village of Cagliari in early July, where, in the ancestral magic of the Sardinian land, the new High Jewellery collection took to the catwalk. Next to wheat ears and precious Sardinian votive bread, the jewels celebrated their beauty, underlined in the background by the songs of Christina Aguilera, global celebrity and winner of seven Grammy Awards. The dominating motif of the designer’s jewellery creations was the Sardinian gold filigree which, in a precious embrace of gold threads, recalls “the intricate weaving and lightness of lace” and brings with it the legacy of Arab and Spanish influences.
Nata nel 2010 con l’obiettivo di favorire il rapporto tra design, arti e mestieri, la Venice Design Week 2024 si svolgerà a Venezia dal 12 al 20 ottobre prossimo. L’ampia offerta della settimana del design offre a designer ed aziende l’opportunità di partecipare a mostre di design contemporaneo, concorsi ed eventi speciali, nonché di visitare allo stesso tempo la Biennale d’Arte e di Architettura, in uno stimolante connubio tra l’esplorazione delle visioni del futuro e l’immersione in quelle del passato. Il concorso orafo Jewelry VDW Selection 2024, promosso da Venice Design Week e da Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo (AGC), i cui 12 finalisti sono stati presentati il 24 luglio, organizzerà la cerimonia di premiazione nell’ambito della VDW di ottobre 2024, con visita guidata all’esposizione.
Conceived in 2010, with the purpose of facilitating the relationship between design, arts and crafts, Venice Design Week will be held in Venice from 12 to 20 October 2024. The vast offer of the design week provides designers and companies with the opportunity to participate in contemporary design exhibitions, competitions and special events, as well as to visit the Art and Architectural Biennial, in a stimulating combination between the exploration of future visions and immersion into those of the past. The Jewelry VDW Selection 2024 competition promoted by Venice Design Week and by the Contemporary Jewel Association (AGC), the 12 finalists were presented on 24 July, will organise the awards ceremony during the VDW in October 2024, with a guided tour of the exhibition.
