La collezione è composta da 8 diamanti blu di varie forme e pesi per un totale di 32,09 carati, di dimensioni variabili da un diamante ovale a taglio brillante da 1,22 carati a un diamante a taglio a gradino da 11,29 carati. Degli 8 diamanti blu, 4 sono stati classificati dal Gemological Institute of America (GIA) come Fancy Vivid, la classificazione cromatica più alta per i diamanti colorati, mentre il diamante taglio brillante De Beers Exceptional Cushion da 3,24 carati è stato dichiarato internamente impeccabile.
The split sale of “The De Beers Exceptional Blue Collection”, a superlative group of eight rare diamonds, is imminent. The gems will go under the hammer at the “Magnificent Jewels” auctions by Sotheby’s this year in the premises of New York, Geneva and Hong Kong and for all of spring 2023. The collection comprises 8 blue diamonds of various shapes and weights for a total of 32.09 carats, with dimensions that vary from an oval brilliant cut diamond of 1.22 carats to a step-cut diamond of 11.29 carats. Of the 8 blue diamonds, 4 have been classified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as Fancy Vivid, the highest colour classification for coloured diamonds, while the brilliant cut De Beers Exceptional Cushion diamond of 3.24 carats has been declared internally flawless.
