A partire dagli anni '80 dell'800, l'estetica subisce un profondo cambiamento, che esalta le potenzialità creative in tutti gli ambiti dell'arte. La mostra si ripropone quindi di includere i gioielli francesi creati negli anni 1880 -1914 all'interno di un discorso storico più ampio, in cui le restrizioni di un'etichetta stilistica, nel caso specifico l'Art Nouveau, non sono un vincolo per la creatività delle opere. Verrà esposta una selezione di 100 manufatti realizzati nel periodo che intercorre tra il XIX e il XX secolo, provenienti da collezioni museali, patrimoniali e private. La mostra è divisa in tre sezioni che permettono ai visitatori di esplorare gli sviluppi basati tanto sull'uso di nuovi materiali quanto sull'adozione di nuovi repertori visivi: "Nature fiabesche", "Fioriture”, “Natura ornamentale".

Since the 1880s, aesthetics has undergone deep change, enhancing the creative potential in all areas of art. The exhibition proposes to include French jewels created between 1880 -1914 inside a broader historical context, in which the restrictions of a stylistic label, in the specific case Art Nouveau, are not a constraint for the creativity of the works. A selection of 100 jewels produced in the period between the 19th and 20th century will be on show, originating from museum, heritage, and private collections. The exhibition is divided into three sections to enable visitors to explore the developments based on the use of new materials and the adoption of new visual repertoires: “Fairy-like Natures”, “Bloomings”, “Ornamental Nature”.
