La serie ICON di JamFactory presenta le opere degli artisti visivi più influenti del South Australia, nel campo dell’artigianato. In “Julie Blyfield: inseguendo una passione” l’artista orafa trae la sua ispirazione dalla ricerca su esemplari botanici, da collezioni storiche di argento e dalla grande varietà del paesaggio australiano. In mostra espone esemplari dalla trama complessa, che catturano l'essenza dell’ambiente naturale australiano e che vengono creati utilizzando le tradizionali tecniche metallurgiche di cesellatura e sbalzo. Julie Blyfield è molto nota a livello internazionale: le sue creazioni si trovano nelle collezioni permanenti del Musée des Arts Decoratifs di Parigi e del Victoria & Albert Museum di Londra, così come in tutte le principali collezioni pubbliche in Australia.
The ICON series of JamFactory presents the works of the most influential visual artists of South Australia, in the field of craftsmanship. In “Julie Blyfield, chasing a passion” the jewellery artist draws inspiration from her research in botanical specimens, from historical silver collections and from the great variety of the Australian landscape. On show are examples of the complex weave which capture the essence of the natural Australian environment and are created using the traditional metallurgical techniques of chiselling and embossing. Julie Blyfield is very well known internationally: her creations are found in the permanent collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs of Paris and Victoria & Albert Museum of London, as well as in all the main public collections in Australia.
